Husay (Skillful)

Ang mga palayok na ito ay ilan sa mga produkto ni Ugu Bigyan. Isa sa mga kilalang “potters” ng ating bansa. Napakahusay ng kaniyang kamay sa paglilok ng mga ito, kaya naman siya ay tinatawag na “ceramic artist’.

Dinalaw namin ang kaniyang studyo sa Tiaong, Quezon. Napakabait na tao ni Ugu at kahit gabi na ay pinagbigyan pa rin niya kaming makita ang kaniyang mga gawa. At syempre napabili rin ang inyong lingkod. Kilala si Ugu sa kaniyang pagkamalikhain sa paglilok ng mga “dinnerware”, mga “accent pieces” o dekorasyon. Ilan sa mga suki niya ay ang mga kilalang resort tulad ng Amanpulo, El Nido, Villa Escudero, Hidden Valley, Campo Travieza at marami pang iba. Tunay na maipagmamalaki nating ang husay ni Ugu sa kaniyang napiling propesyon.

Ang kaniyang studyo ay siya ring kaniyang tahanan, kung saan nagbibigay siya ng pottery workshop.

Maari rin kayo reserve ng inyong pananghalian sa lugar na ito. Isa rin kasing Chef si Ugu.

(These pots are one of the many products from the skillful hand of Ugu Bigyan, who is one of the more popular potters in the Philippines. Sculpting such fine potteries are truly impressive, that’s why he is called a ceramic artist.

We visited his studio in Tiaong, Quezon and despite being late in the night, he opened his doors for us so we can take a look at his mater pieces. Of course, I couldn’t pass the chance to buy. Ugu is known for his creative designs in making dinnerware, accent pieces and other ceramic decor. Some of his clients include posh resorts such as Amanpulo, El Nido, Villa Escudero, Hidden Valley, Campo Travieza. His artistic craft is one that we can truly be proud of.

In his studio, which is also his residence, he offers pottery workshop.

And being a chef, he also offers lunch, if you call in for reservation.)

wow! ang ganda ng mga gawa niya! at di lang siya potter, chef pa. daya naman ng ibang tao, namamakyaw ng talent. haha!

Minsan ko ng napanood sa isang tv show ang tungkol sa kanya. Kung mapadpad ako sa Quezon, sana makapunta rin ako dito. Salamat sa pagdaan sa aking LP ngayong linggo.

WOW! Mahusay talaga. At di biro ang paggamit ng pottery wheel. Kailangan mahusay ka talaga para makabuo ng maayos.

I like his potteries. It is unique and the designs are really one-of-a-kind. I hope I can see these great items in person.
