PBW68: SIDCOR Market at Centris Walk
by SassyMom on Jan.30, 2011, under Pixel Bug Weekend
It was another busy week for me… So busy that I am left with no choice but to work even on weekends. I am not complaining though, these are blessings from the Lord and I welcome it.
However, my family will always be my first priority, especially my kids, they are the reason why we are working hard. So despite the toxic schedule, I still found the time to bond with my family as I brought them along this Sunday to do my errands. And we even had time to pass by SIDCOR Sunday Market, now located at the ETON Centris Walk.
I have been curious to see what SIDCOR Sunday Market has to offer since I can always see Centris Walk’s parking space jampacked every Sunday morning. As I walked, I realized how Filipinos are so fond of tiangges or flea markets.
The SIDCOR market offers a wide variety of products. I guess this replaces the “market day” for most of the shoppers there.
You can find fresh seafoods….
Fruits and vegetables…
Household Furnishing and Accessories
and even plants.
There’s a lot more you can find at the SIDCOR Sunday Market. I was just too busy shopping to take photos:-)
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: It is with deep regret that I had to close down Pixelbug Weekend. As much as I want to share more photos of our weekends, my crazy and busy schedule makes it very impossible for me to do so. THIS SHALL BE MY LAST POST FOR PBW and I am so sad. I shall miss posting and of course, all of you. We shall always be connected through this big virtual world. Have a great week to all of you!
PBW67: A visit to Intramuros
by SassyMom on Jan.23, 2011, under Beauty of Nature, Kids, Parks and Recreational Places, Philippine Travel, Pixel Bug Weekend
It was Saturday morning when I decided to tag along with my hubby as he is scheduled to play golf in Intramuros. I went not because I wanted to play golf but I wanted to bring the kids to Intramuros and fire up my passion for photography.
Yes, it was not only a walk back time with lessons in Philippine History but it was a photo shoot with my fave subjects … my children. Here are some of the shots I took. The photographer wannabe strikes again! Hope you enjoy.
The kids had a great time and of course, I was able to practice my photography skills once again. I am looking forward to a lot more trips like these. Thanks and I hope you enjoyed your weekend too.

by SassyMom on Jan.17, 2011, under Kids, Parks and Recreational Places, Pixel Bug Weekend
Sunday Night we’re back at ETON Centris Walk for a meeting… another business opportunity (crossing fingers)
I have always wanted to see Centris at Night…. I am curious at how those constellations look and I was not disappointed. They’re lovely at night.
My son was glad to be my model.
Even doing the pose I asked him to…
This weekend was another busy one for me and I am just thankful to start the year with a lot of activities. I hope you all had fun this weekend.

PBW65: At Star City
by SassyMom on Jan.09, 2011, under Parks and Recreational Places, Philippine Travel, Pixel Bug Weekend
First off, I want to greet everyone a Happy New Year! The holidays brought a lot of craziness in my schedule — but good kind of crazy! The kind that gets you that gives you time to bond with your family and friends… and I am grateful for those times (even though I cannot be online that much). It’s what makes me look forward for the Christmas season.
This weekend was a spillover from the Holiday schedule. It was a time to bond with our employees. We decided to treat them to a day at the amusement park together with my children.
The kids had a blast with those crazy rides..
I am just so glad that they their “Ates” and their “Kuya” (our driver) who were brave enough to accompany them, cause I sure am not!
There were a lot of things to be thankful for in the year 2010 and one of those is the blessing of trustworthy employees. This is just one way of giving back the blessings. They all enjoyed and it was nice to see them having a blast.
I hope you all had a nice start of the year and I’ll see you all next weekend.

PBW64: Weekend before Christmas
by SassyMom on Dec.19, 2010, under Christmas, Kids, Married Life, Pixel Bug Weekend
It’s very rare that my husband initiates an in invitation to go to the mall especially on a weekend and it’s usually a spontaneous invite, that’s why when he does, we should grab the opportunity. Who wouldn’t? An opportunity to shop courtesy of his budget…LOL!
After mass last Sunday (even tough I know there’ll lots of people in the mall), we headed out to Podium to have the boy’s hair cut and shop. That’s my boy with his big smile after buying a gift for their Yaya (househelp).

Of course, my daughter was the one who chose the gift….

That’s hubby checking out some architectural books at NBS.

And since we’re already there, we decided to watch TRON. Interesting movie but not quite my type.

Note: Pixelbug Weekend will be on Holiday Break starting next week. We’ll get back to posting our weekend next year January 10, 2011. So from my family to yours, I would like to greet each and every one a blessed Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. I wish you enjoy the rest of the Holiday season. God bless!

PBW63: Christmas Fair
by SassyMom on Dec.13, 2010, under Christmas, Events, Pixel Bug Weekend
We’re back at my son’s school this Saturday, this time it’s their school’s Christmas Fair.
![]()
Yes, I accompanied him for soon I know he would not want me to join him just like his sister
There were lots of activities going on and as we waited for their performance, my friends decided to play the Bingo.
![]()
Luckily, one of my good friends won the “Blackout Bingo”. Congratulations to you and your family!

Then, it was the boy’s turn to show us their presentation. Truly, I am savoring these moments with my youngest, cause when he hits the teenage years… he’ll be on his own. By then, at least I can say that I have spent precious time with him.

My schedule’s getting crazier as Christmas approaches… Pardon my late post. Hope you all have a great week ahead!

PBW62: Celebrating Family Day
by SassyMom on Dec.05, 2010, under About Me, Events, Kids, People, Pixel Bug Weekend, Special Occasion
One of the things that are keeping me busy as a bee the past few weeks, is the preparation my son’s family day in school. Being a parent representative for their section, there were lots of tasks to prepare for Saturday’s big event.

Family days are conducted to promote unity amongst each member of the family and the school through presentations and other fun activities in an atmosphere of Goodwill and Camaraderie. There were celebrity guests, magician, and a variety of performance showcasing the talents from the students. Below is a photo op with Christian Bautista, and my fellow parents.

Of course, a family day will not be complete without games. In which, I together with a co-parent hosted.

Whew! That’s the highlight of our weekend. I hope you and your family had a fabulous as well.

PBW61: It’s already Advent!
by SassyMom on Nov.28, 2010, under Kids, Pixel Bug Weekend
This Sunday marks the first Sunday of Advent for Roman Catholics. As I listened to the homily of the priest this Sunday’s mass, it reminded me the real meaning of Christmas. The priest reiterated that Advent is from the latin word “adventus” meaning coming or arrival. The first coming is what we commemorate every year, the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ and the second advent, is the one that we need to prepare for, is the anticipation of His return.

As we get busy with the Christmas season, buying Christmas presents, preparing for Christmas parties and all the merriment of the season. Let us not forget to focus on the real star of this season. That is a good reflection indeed.
As always, since it is almost December, I still have not completed my Christmas list. So, we went to the Noel Bazaar at the World Trade Center to check it out and buy some stuff. This is me and my daughter goofing around at the entrance after we were done shopping.

Sunday is the time for loot bag packing in preparation for my son’s family day. Look at my young man helping me out. That’s one of the tasks of being a parent representative, arduous but fulfilling.
