Hubs also made it a point to spend some bonding time with the kids by letting them join him at the driving range. The heavy downpour did not stop the gang from having a great time.

It was my kid’s first time so they got a little coaching from their Papa.

“Focus on the ball.” That is one very important technique you should learn when you are playing golf.

The kids got hungry after that strenuous activity. Seeing them so happy together is just truly priceless.

This is my first time to watch Flamenco dance performance live. Thanks to my youngest sister who was persistent on watching this lovely performance.

I was amazed at how graceful these dancers are and their footwork is remarkable. How I wish I could dance as gracefully as them. My daughter told me to enroll so that I have a past time when I retire. I just laughed at the thought cause I am never really good at dancing.

The performance of their solo dancers is astonishing. The grace, the poise and their elegance while they execute their routines is really something to be envious of. Below is the photo of Emma Estrada, the founder of Fundacion Centro Flamenco (lower photos) and Katsie Llave (upper photos).

You can still catch these Flamenco dancers perform every Saturdays of August at Barcino Wine Tapas Bar, Greenbelt, Makati.

The competition was held at the Marikina Sports Complex. It was a hot day with rain clouds threatening to pour any moment. The team were so excited even the parents. We braved to scorching heat, never mind the sweat as long as our girls are enjoying.

Here are some of the photos I took as they await for the competition to begin. You can see them fixing their props, offering a prayer and just having a good time.

We prayed for a cooler day but with no rain. It was the first time they will be doing their routine on open ground. If the rain will pour, they will have to forfeit themselves since it will be too dangerous for the girl to be flipping around with rain pouring on them. Good thing our prayers were heard.

I guess for me it’s an issue of competency. Being an HR practitioner, I still relate most things to what I have learned in the workplace. From a Human Resource point of view, competence takes into account the combination of knowledge, skills and behavior used in performance of a specific function. Competencies can be developed with proper training and coaching.

So what do I lack here? I believe it’s coaching. A coach should be have the patience, knowledge and skills in developing the abilities of the people they are mentoring. A coach should be able to inspire, motivate and push its clients to achieve the desired results.

As for me, I don’t have one. Hubby just does not have the patience to do it. At the back of my head, I guess it’s one way of him showing me of his fear of me driving alone. Especially when he hears all those modus operandi victimizing car drivers. I guess that’s sweet in a way.
I know and I can feel his concern. He would not let me use a second hand car for fear that I may have a hard time maintaining such. Point taken. Hubs was even looking at cars like bentley, Hybrids and Hyundai Santa Fe. Not that we can afford those automobiles, lol! He just loves looking at cars. I told him that a small, affordable and a very fuel efficient car was enough for us. So despite the fact that it pains his pocket, he strived hard for us (me and the kids) to be able to use a new car. Nothing fancy.

Hubby is not the “showy” type of person but his actions would definitely demonstrate how much he cares. He will even read reviews of automobiles which you can find in sites like www.thecarconnection.com to know more about the car he is eyeing. Furthermore, he does not push me to drive and does not question my competency to drive. He just allows me to be me. Funny, because it’s my kids now who is pushing me to drive

I don’t know, I cannot seem to push myself to do it. Maybe in time… I really cannot say.

I enjoy watching this kind of competition. Even as spectator, the rush of adrenaline cannot be avoided as you watch the each of the teams try to achieve their flawless routines, execute those intricate gymnastic moves such as tumbling and cartwheel and of course, the nerve wrecking stunts for the flyers. These flying stunt is one that makes me screech whenever they throw those bodies in mid air.

My girl and her team was in for a real competition this time. Last year, they were invited only for an exhibition to introduce a new Juniors Division for the NCC.

It was a tough competition for all the competing teams. This is my daughter and her team mates as they anxiously await the announcement of the winners.

Although they did not bag the 1st place, they are all winners. They came in as 2nd runner up. You can see that most of them were quite disappointed, but they put up a good fight. This is what’s good about exposing your kids to sports, they get to face failures and be a better sport. Next year will be another year and hopefully they’ll do better. Congratulations to all of you!

But one cannot enjoy this alone, you need to play it with friends. Fortunately, his classmate decided to have a “Dart Tag Party”. The kids were so excited to attend. It was an intimate party held at their residence.

It was one of those moments that you get to see the boys sweat and play, which I believe is good for their generation. Since most of them can stay in front of the computer, TV or console game the whole day, this kind of play is a refreshing change. Reminds me of how filthy we get every time we play outside when we were kids.

Well, of course did have their own kind of enjoyment while the kids are at play.

It was already night time when the kids decided to rest for awhile but still play .
