Magellan’s Cross is located in Magallanes street, Cebu City. It is housed beside the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño church. A historical landmark not only for Cebu City but for the Philippines. It was planted in the year 1521 by Ferdinand Magellan, a Portugese navigator who worked for the King of Spain in search of the Spice Island.

It symbolizes the propagation of the Roman Catholic faith in Cebu. When Magellan and his crew arrived in the island they were greeted by the local natives led by Rajah Humabon. They befriended him and consequently accepted Christianity and was baptized accordingly.

Some people say she’s “Mini Me”… some are amazed when I introduced her as my daughter, cause they say were so much alike, like sisters, LOL!! And vise versa, her friends will tell her that we’re like twins. Well, I guess like mother, like daughter.

However, my family will always be my first priority, especially my kids, they are the reason why we are working hard. So despite the toxic schedule,  I still found the time to bond with my family as I brought them along this Sunday to do my errands. And we even had time to pass by SIDCOR Sunday Market, now located at the ETON Centris Walk.

I have been curious to see what SIDCOR Sunday Market has to offer since I can always see Centris Walk’s parking space jampacked every Sunday morning. As I walked, I realized how Filipinos are so fond of tiangges or flea markets.

The SIDCOR market offers a wide variety of products. I guess this replaces the “market day” for most of the shoppers there.

This weekend was another busy one for me and I am just thankful to start the year with a lot of activities. I hope you all had fun this weekend.

Ay, ang tagal na nang huli akong sumali sa Litratong Pinoy. New Year na kaya sisikapin kong maging aktibo muli.

Heto ang aking lahok para sa tema ngayon na lata. Nakakahiya man aminin pero ito ay isang lata na pilit kong iniiwasan pero hindi talaga makaiwas lalo na kung ang asawa mo ay “addict” din sa Coke. sa totoo lang, sa asawa ko nakuha ang kahiligan ko sa “softdrinks” kaya lang ako ngayon Coke Zero samantalang siya ay talagang regular Coke ang gusto.

Siya nga pala hindi ito “paid advertisement”, talaga lamang “addict” ako sa Coke. Hahaha!

(It’s been a while since I last joined Litratong Pinoy and since it’s New Year, it’s a new start. I will try my best to be active once again.

By the way, this is not a paid advertisement. This just shows how addicted I am to Coke. Hahaha.)

This weekend was a spillover from the Holiday schedule. It was a time to bond with our employees. We decided to treat them to a day at the amusement park together with my children.

The kids had a blast with those crazy rides..

I am just so glad that they their “Ates” and their “Kuya” (our driver) who were brave enough to accompany them, cause I sure am not!

There were a lot of things to be thankful for in the year 2010 and one of those is the blessing of trustworthy employees. This is just one way of giving back the blessings. They all enjoyed and it was nice to see them having a blast.

After mass last Sunday (even tough I know there’ll lots of people in the mall), we headed out to Podium to have the boy’s hair cut and shop. That’s my boy with his big smile after buying a gift for their Yaya (househelp).

Of course, my daughter was the one who chose the gift….

And since we’re already there, we decided to watch TRON. Interesting movie but not quite my type.
