Filipinos are prayerful by nature

(Probably one of the characteristics that I like most about Filipinos is that they are prayerful by nature. Just yesterday I attended mass and was able to observe people who attended — most of them are office workers. I can’t help but feel astonished at these people who have sacrificed an hour (which is their lunchtime) to be able to hear mass.
Perhaps this is the reason why we are able to overcome all the hardships that our country is experiencing. Be it economic crisis, political crisis and even in the face of natural calamities, we have learned to trust in the Lord. Didn’t we just demonstrate that during EDSA People Power Revolution? That despite the blockade of military tanks, people were there to face them prayers and rosary?
The fact that you can find chapels and churches everywhere you go, is an indication that Filipinos are prayerful. Now even in the malls, priests celebrate mass so that people won’t have any excuse of not hearing mass especially during Sundays.
Happy Thursday!)
