PBW64: Weekend before Christmas

by on Dec.19, 2010, under Christmas, Kids, Married Life, Pixel Bug Weekend

It’s very rare that my husband initiates an in invitation to go to the mall especially on a weekend and it’s usually a spontaneous invite, that’s why when he does, we should grab the opportunity. Who wouldn’t? An opportunity to shop courtesy of his budget…LOL!

After mass last Sunday (even tough I know there’ll lots of people in the mall), we headed out to Podium to have the boy’s hair cut and shop. That’s my boy with his big smile after buying a gift for their Yaya (househelp).

Of course, my daughter was the one who chose the gift….

That’s hubby checking out some architectural books at NBS.

And since we’re already there, we decided to watch TRON. Interesting movie but not quite my type.

Note: Pixelbug Weekend will be on Holiday Break starting next week. We’ll get back to posting our weekend next year January 10, 2011. So from my family to yours, I would like to greet each and every one a blessed Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. I wish you enjoy the rest of the Holiday season. God bless!

PBW62: Celebrating Family Day

by on Dec.05, 2010, under About Me, Events, Kids, People, Pixel Bug Weekend, Special Occasion

One of the things that are keeping me busy as a bee the past few weeks, is the preparation my son’s family day in school. Being a parent representative for their section, there were lots of tasks to prepare for Saturday’s big event.

Family days are conducted to promote unity amongst each member of the family and the school through presentations and other fun activities in an atmosphere of Goodwill and Camaraderie. There were celebrity guests, magician, and a variety of performance showcasing the talents from the students. Below is a photo op with Christian Bautista, and my fellow parents.

Of course, a family day will not be complete without games. In which, I together with a co-parent hosted.

Whew! That’s the highlight of our weekend. I hope you and your family had a fabulous as well.

PBW58: Rainy afternoon at the Driving Range

by on Nov.07, 2010, under Family Get-Together, Pixel Bug Weekend, Sports and Recreation

Semestral break is over for my children and they are back to school. I made sure that they have accomplished everything at the start of their vacation so they can enjoy the rest of the week.

Hubs also made it a point to spend some bonding time with the kids by letting them join him at the driving range. The heavy downpour did not stop the gang from having a great time.

It was my kid’s first time so they got a little coaching from their Papa.

“Focus on the ball.” That is one very important technique you should learn when you are playing golf.

The kids got hungry after that strenuous activity. Seeing them so happy together is just truly priceless.

I hope everyone had loads of fun this weekend.

PBW39: Two birthdays in one weekend

by on Jun.20, 2010, under Family Get-Together, Special Occasion

June is the birthday month of two wonderful people — my one and only brother and my lovely daughter.

Kuya had his birthday bash last Friday with his friends and co-workers. My sister, hubs and I decided to join him for this special day. Although most of his visitors are people whom I hardly know but I don’t need to be acquainted with them to see how well-loved my brother is. I am very happy and proud to have a very hardworking brother. Someone whose perseverance is commendable that he can triumph everything he sets his heart into. I’m so proud of you, Kuya!

Saturday was my daughter’s birthday. We had a simple dinner with my family. Since I belong to a very small family and never got the chance to know most of my relatives, we always make it a point that we bond as much as possible.

This is my daughter with my siblings and my mom….

At the dinner table …

Happy Birthday to my brother and to my charming daughter! I wish you all the best!

Arcade Time

135/365 While waiting for my boy to finish arcade, we chilled out and had coffee with my cousins-in-law and by the time we knew it, twas already 12midnight. I guess my boy had a blast! This was taken after his arcade time together with his Tita Tin’s pet, a golden retriever.
