Regalo (Gift)

by on Dec.24, 2009, under Christmas, Litratong Pinoy

LP Button1

“It is better to give than to receive.”

PBW 12: Bazaar Weekend

by on Dec.06, 2009, under Baked Goodies, Christmas, Kids

Christmas is indeed a time for shopping however, it is also a chance for you to grab all the possible earning opportunities. This weekend, I was fortunate to get a place in a small bazaar. The prospect of earning a little cash was quite appealing. I thought of selling my baked goodies, maybe I can chance upon someone who may want to order for their Christmas gift giving, who knows? My kids also took the opportunity and wanted to sell their old clothes, or whats left of it –since most of it was donated to the recent typhoon.

It was the first time for me to sell old clothes since my hubby is not a fan of selling second hand items. His philosophy is to give what you do not use, which is a noble cause if I may say. But then, I was able to convince him telling him that I also wanted the kids to experience how to earn their own money. An entrepremom raising entreprekids.

Bazaar Collage

So it was a weekend at the bazaar but instead of shopping for goods we were the ones selling. The turnout was quite okay for first timers like us. Most importantly the kids enjoyed the stint and learned a thing or two in selling. Here are my kids with my daughter’s friend and my house help.

Hudyat na malapit na ang Pasko

by on Dec.02, 2009, under Christmas, Litratong Pinoy, Special Occasion

LP Button1 LP : HUDYAT (A sign that Christmas is near..)

Christmas Ornaments-1

(I am so excited this week because Litratong Pinoy is back. Welcome back, LP! And for their comeback, the theme is SIGN or SIGNAL.

The chilly weather, the beautiful glittering lights, and those lovely Christmas trees adorned with captivating ornaments is a sign that Christmas is near. At home, I always make sure that I put up the tree early for the kids. Christmas is mostly for children. Although for me since this is my favorite time of the year, I feel Christmas everyday.)

PBW11: An early Christmas present

by on Nov.29, 2009, under Christmas, Pixel Bug Weekend, Special Occasion

Weekends before a big exam are always spent at home, that is our rule. As a mom, I try not schedule any activity during these weekends so the kids can concentrate on reviewing their lessons. Although it is a long weekend, a road trip would have been fitting but I am not complaining. I also want this much needed rest to regain my strength and to prepare myself for a very busy month.

In the photo below, my son is doing a mock up exam I have prepared. LOL! The poor guy woke up very early last Saturday to finish his Kumon and do one of the mock up tests.

Lance review

Weekend was not as dull as it seems, it was actually an exciting one for me. Hubs and I went out to buy his early Christmas gift for me…. my new TOY!

My new Laptop

Now, I just finished transferring my files to my backup hard drive and enjoying my new toy. Super duper thanks to my Hubs! Mwah!

PBW8: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

by on Nov.08, 2009, under Christmas, Pixel Bug Weekend

Pixel Bug weekend button 1

Yes, Christmas will be here next month. We’re just counting days and everywhere you go, it’s really beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Just like the song — toys are in every store, Christmas trees in the parks and the hotels. And of course, the malls are already dressed up for the season, just like the photo below.

Christmas in the mall

Christmas trees, ornaments, decors and Santa’s are already on sale…

Santas in the mall

As for me, since I do not work anymore, I am trying to beat the holiday rush by buying Christmas gifts very early. I have started to wrap some of those gifts and placed it under my Christmas tree.Gifts under the Christmas tree

Christmas is truly my favorite time of the year, and for that I consider myself a Christmas girl!
