Pixel Bug

As a wannabe photographer, one of the things that can truly develop your “eye” is to practice. Like any other skills, “Practice makes perfect”. For this year, I decided to take on the challenge and go for Project 365. One photograph a day. So, even if I am not in the mood to shoot, I shall force myself to do so. However to make it less taxing on my part, I will upload them in batches of five. Here’s my 1st week…

1/365 – Cocktails from our New Year’s countdown…

2/365 – I’d love to learn how to use this calligraphy set. It’s one of hubby’s gifts from last Christmas and my kids are enjoying this stuff…

3/365 – Measuring tape – A very handy tool especially for an architect like my hubs. I too find it very useful at home.

4/365 – I love to have a lot of pencils on my desk. Even when I was working, I have a set of pencils like this one. This is take from my desk at home.

5/365 – Starbucks – for the last 3 years now, I fill up those Starbucks promo card for two. My daughter and me. The first round always goes to her… she love to doodle stuff in her planner. Now, she has a new tumbler and she’s so excited to use it.

First off, let me greet each and everyone of you a Happy New Year! For me, New Year signals new beginnings… a time to look forward to a more positive future. No matter how gloomy the predictions may be, no one knows what the future holds, it is up to us to make the most of what we have.

Welcoming the new year is always extra special when you’re with your loved ones. My family, together with my mom and my siblings, have veered away from the usual fireworks at home. For the past couple of years, we decided to celebrate intimately by staying in a hotel and join the in-house countdown.

It’s a lot safer that way and we can still view the spectacular fireworks from the neighboring villages minus the smoke, ain’t that cool?
